Information Architect - Job Code 1505

We are seeking an experienced Information Architect to play a key role within the product development team. The Information Architect will work closely with Product Manager and design team to create a compelling user experience for new and innovative web services that leverage the latest web technologies including Flash and AJAX.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in interactive media design (preferably within a creative team)
  • A minimum of 2 years in a role exclusively addressing information architecture
  • Expert proficiency in OmniGraffle, Visio or Comparable Software
  • A passion for MySpace and Facebook - we strongly prefer candidates with an active interest in the site and/or social networking/dating/lifestyle sites in general
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic work environment demanding rapid turn around and frequent change in direction
  • Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High energy, yet level-headed personality with a ‘can-do’ attitude

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Visualize concepts quickly and cleanly through sketching and other rapid prototyping methods
  • Produce clean, concise site maps, transaction flows, diagrams and interface schematics
  • Work collaboratively with Interface Engineers to define page types and templates for production
  • Understanding of how to best leverage HTML/DHTML, AJAX, CSS and Flash to design and best in class social networking applications and sties
  • Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology
  • Interact with cross-functional teams to confirm that all build requirements are met
  • Manage external design resources when necessary
