Flash Developer - Job Code 1504

As a Flash Developer you will contribute to the design and implementation of the next generation of our video and audio players, along with other exciting and innovative applications. We want to draw upon your passion for this space and your previous experience in developing solutions based upon Adobe technologies to help shape the constantly evolving stream of applications we provide.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Excellent knowledge of designing and building Rich Internet Applications
• Understanding of the latest Flex innovations, including remoting, Shared Objects, and Flex Data Services. Familiarity with AIR a plus.
• Understanding of user-centered design methodology and usability testing.
• Understanding of object-oriented development, n-tier applications, and SOA.
• Understanding of software development methodologies, such as SCRUM.
• Ability to meet deadlines while paying close attention to detail.
• 3+ years building user-facing applications
• Experience designing application using MVC architectures, such as the Cairngorm framework a plus
• Experience designing and developing custom Flex components (especially user interface).
• Experience with consuming XML & Web Services in Flex applications and integrating Flex applications using the local shared-object.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Form the technical vision and direction of RIA development.
• Identify and integrate emerging technologies and practices in the application development process.
• Architect, build and optimize new user-facing applications.
• Develop guidelines and best practices for AS and Flex development.
